This tactic of using the blood of our people to renew pipeline surveillance contracts and monopolize has long been discovered and its nothing new. Tompolo is pushing from behind to instigate the Warri ward delineation into a full-blown crisis and to use it to negotiate for pipeline security contract.
From the death of our Nigerian army in Okuama, an Urhobo community, and to the burning down of the community, to the killings of youths in Ogbomotoro in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area in Bayelsa State, are all in the interest of Tompolo and his pipeline surveillance contract. The lives of the people that died, including Nigerian soldiers, is none of his business.
That same alter of using the blood of the people for their personal interest is here again, and our people, including the Ijaw, Urhobo and Itsekiri, must be wise and refuse our youths to be in such mess.
The Warri ward delineation crisis has been programmed to be used as the last option by Tompolo to target and use as a tool to persuade the Federal Government to renew their pipeline surveillance contract and that's nothing but the truth.
Tompolo is behind the crisis that is about to take the lives of many youths from both the Ijaw, Urhobo and Itsekiri if care is not taken because his interest matter more to him than the lives of the people.
Since the pipeline surveillance contract was not renewed and is still pending, he is sponsoring live conferences on national TV for the some Ijaws and part of the Urhobo to issue out threats to the President, the Nation and the state resources. Those threats coming out from those Ijaw chiefs and Urhobo chiefs are proxies of Tompolo speaking through them.
From Chief Godspower Gbenekamor who is a main proxy of Tompolo who has threatened to blow up pipeline and flow stations in Delta State, to Chief Denbo Denbofa Oweikpodo who is calling for his neighbor to meet them in a battle field, to Chief Victor Okumagba who want to put fire in Warri, Delta and the Country.
And to Chief Alex Eyegho declaring tools and things is available for war that finally got the internet shaking. Security should invite, question and detain all of them for inciting violence in the Warri Federal Constituency.
Again, I call on our traditional rulers, community leaders, political leaders and other leaders of thought from both the Ijaws, Urhobos and Itsekiris that we must grow above communal clash and see beyond our nose and totally decline any call for violence and crisis among us, and continue to embrace consultations, dialogue, rule of law and any other peaceful means to settle our disputes whenever it arise because it will always be there.
To the Governor of Delta State, why keeping silent in the face of security threats in the state? What about calling all parties involved for a peace accord and using anyone who refuses as a scapegoat? Or is Mr. Oborevwori Sheriff no longer the governor of the state?
I call on the Federal Government to do the right thing by decentralizing the pipeline surveillance contracts across the Niger Delta states and allow state-based stakeholders and host communities to manage their areas, and put an end to giving power to some illiterates like Tompolo.
He has used the pipeline surveillance contract to kidnap, run private prisons, kill Nigerians and building a monster out of himself. The government should stop giving too much power and empowerment to a single entity, as it amounts to a security risk to the region and a threat to the nation.
To be warned is to be before harm.
